Yeah, typically a 42R. And yes, all depends on how you want to wear it. But I think the large is your best bet as long as your pants are also suitably paired. Skinny jeans probably need not apply.

Can anyone comment on the sizing of the liner vest? Take your usual EG size? How much can you layer underneath?

@Shirts Anderson – Fit me TTS. It's cut really boxy. I've only tried layering a sweatshirt under it (which worked fine) because mine is lined in Primaloft, so it's sufficiently warm down to under 40 degrees. I imagine you could fit a chunky sweater under it, as well.

Thanks, eluther. Did you try the size down? I ask because there is nowhere around me to try on at this point, and I'm skeptical of the chest measurements that I've read online - it looks the sides don't even come up to armpit level, so a p2p measurement wouldn't be accurate.

I tried the size down in a different material – the shoulders were too tight. I also like bigger, boxier fits, so a little oversized is preferable to me.

There are also some cinch buttons near the hem that let you take it in ~2".

For anyone who has the FW14 EG Liner jacket -- can you advise on sizing? True to your normal EG outerwear size? For example, I am a Large in most EG outerwear (reversible coat, M41, etc.). Would I take a Large in the Liner? Measurements on the web seem to be all over the place.

My only other EG outerwear piece is probably 5+ years old, so I don't really have much of a frame of reference. However, the liner jacket is pretty roomy. I'm a small in most stuff that isn't slim fit and a medium in stuff that is more trim. I have a small in the liner, and it still is pretty roomy. I'd err on the side of the smaller size.

As an aside, the jacket's cuffs are pretty snug. I fold back the cuffs on a lot of my sweaters, and the liner jacket is basically unwearable when I wear a sweater like that.

Hey eluther, are you talking about the vest or the jacket? I didn't see any buttons on the vest from the pics online...are they on the inside?

Sorry. I have the jacket and the vest and got them mixed up in my subsequent replies.

The vest fit me TTS. It's boxy (not like a suit vest). Fits sweaters under it. Not as boxy as the jacket, though – nor are there buttons. Sorry about that confusion.

Most likely, that's the half shoulder and outseam measurement, the way in which you would measure a shirt. We always give an inseam measurement. That's the proper way.
