Gonna need a picture showing those double monk buckles
I am gonna pull the trigger on a pair of Portland loafer but as we know it's cement built... Any folks here has experience with Portland and how durable are they?
Thank you input in advance!
I have 3 pair and I really like them for what they are — a lightweight pair of travel slippers than can ‘get by’ in a lot of situations while on the road. In short, they’re glorified house slippers with a very thin leather sole and a tiny heel for a splash of formality. They definitely won’t hold up to many miles on cement/asphalt/gravel like a regular loafer...but that’s the trade off for reduced weight and bulk. If you’re looking for a value, this is not it.
I'm going on a trip shortly and thinking if they will be a good travel loafer - so soft and light compared to GYW. While how they hold up to concerns me tho. I trust they are well constructed even cemented?
