Do oxblood shoes go with brown leather end braces?

Hi guys! :)

I'm in the process of expanding my shoe wardrobe and i have recently fallen in love with the colour and richness of oxblood leather shoes. I already have all the basics covered in terms of black and dark brown and as i am a braces/suspender wearer with my suits and trousers, my collection of braces are build around the same principles of black and brown leather ends to go with my shoe collection. Would it therefore be proper to pair oxblood shoes with brown leather end braces, or is this a faux pas that should be avoided?

Kind regards,
K.

nobody will ever, ever care except maybe some nerd on styleforum.

"Match your leathers" as a rule was invented by youtubers who needed to give guys constant advice but couldn't think of anything to talk about for ten minutes per week.

Even if you do want to follow that rule:

1. It usually only applies to large pieces of leather, like shoes and belts. There's not enough leather on a pair of suspenders for them to count.
2. Your suspenders are hidden.
3. Oxblood and brown are absolutely close enough.
