I am 6.25, slender type. Usually the suits and jackets fit me well if they are 40L (50 US or 98 EU). 40 R sometimes fit, but more often are a little wider and shorter (BOC and sleeves) and require alterations.

However, on sales there are 40 R suits that have similar to 40L measurements, so I wonder if actually they can fit me as good and it is just deviance in size labeling. Or is should ignore R and only look for L?

Cheers

Some makes run short, some makes run long. Try them on and buy whichever fits best.

That being said, 6.25 what? Feet? If so, I don't see any R's, even those that run long, fitting you.

thanx, 189 cm - 6.25 i believe. trouble is , most of the purchases are done via internet but what about this suit, for instance, it measures precisely as RL 40L http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I have purchased from that seller. He's a good dude with a great return policy. I don't see the issue here with buying it & returning it if it doesn't fit.

length from top of collar to botton is 32" which means it will be about 30.5" from bottom of collar. It is most likely too short for you,I am not going to say anything about the suit itself.

That suit isn't my taste, but tastes definitely differ. I think the lapels are too wide and I'm not a fan of the cloth. Shoulders & roll look fine, but not stellar and definitely not at that price.
