I can get the bloom away using the deerbone, a little cream and subsequent brushing. However, it returns rather quickly. Not that it really bothers me to be honest - I love cordovan as it is.

It goes away after about 5 wears with brushing in between, but if they get wet from rain and snow I have to clean and then they bloom like crazy...

Hey guys, quick question, I have been sized in John Lobb 9 UK in the 9795 last. Tried the 9.5 Uk and felt big a roomy. And don’t know if his makes sense, but I feel my feet kinda got smaller. I measured them and got 98mm width instead of the 101mm I had a couple of years ago when I bought most of my Carmina’s.

I remember I tried the 9 UK and it was quite tight but now I’m hesitating if I should change sizes from 9.5UK to 9 UK in Rain. My latest addition (a year ago) were a pair of dub monks in 9.5UK Inca and they feel nice but today my Rain Oxfords felt a little loose. I have shed some fat but not something really big like 4 or 5 pounds. So, it’s not like they haven’t been broken-in cause they already have two years.

What do you think?

Cool! I've never MTO anything with Kid leather! Maybe I'd do with my next pair!
Most of my MTOs have kid-lining though.

Kid leather is pretty soft, supple, and crease very easily. It creases as soon as anything touch it. I have two pairs (from existing RTW collection). It's very comfortable that I can wear it and do an 7-hours standing-lecture (I do lecture, which I stand most of the time, and walking across the front of the room, writing boards). It also has pretty nice, soft-shine. Worth looking into :)

Would love to see more pictures of your jumper boots. They look gorgeous. What's the shaft height on these?
I'm not in a position to measure the shaft at the moment, but it's quite impressive ;-). It's a standard 80198 Jumper Boot height - I'll measure the shaft and take some more snaps tomorrow morning.
