Is it from the heel of the shoe? If it's only the heel then a cobbler can put a few extra nails in. I've had this done on a few of my shoes (only recently discovered carmina so none of my carminas have had any work don't yet) I found a vintage pair of velvet loafers that had this problem, but they squeak came from the heel so the cobbler just put size extra nails in around the heel and it solved the squeak.

Nope, it's coming from somewhere towards the front of the footbed. I can take my foot and bend the shoe like crazy with no sound. With the shoes on, the squeak starts once I barely lift my heel off the ground. It's driving me nuts! Thanks for the reply.

Oh dang, maybe try a cobbler and see if they can do something. They can't really do nails in the sole of the shoe since it moves so much when walking. Maybe email Betty at carmina? She's been super helpful for me the last few days.

have u tried a little baby/talcum powder? That can sometimes work on squeaking coming from inside the shoe

I actually did this morning. I'm going to do some more walking around to see if it helps. Thanks for the help, guys.

I have one shoe that doesn't exactly squeak, but it does make a sound kind of like a poof of air escaping. Has anybody else experienced this?

This happens with my shell jumper boots, but no other pairs (including boots and shell shoes). It only happens when I'm stepping down from a curb or stairs, toe down, so it doesn't bother me too often.

Yes, it's a really small noise. I find it hard to pick up when walking in the city though.

Just wanted to share some pics - my haul from Skoaktie today. I'm in love with the bal boots

Sadly, the loafers don't fit and are for sale.

Out of curiosity, how much are Carmina's subject to stretch? I ordered a pair on the Robert last in 7 and 7.5 to see which is a better fit. They are both good, though the 7 is obviously a bit on the snugger side, but not uncomfortable.

So, I was just curious as to whether the 7 would stretch out some, and if so, about how much I could expect.
