They should rename this thread "Battle of the Carmina MTOs".

Devastated. Just tried my mto navy rain whole cuts on for the first time and they are too big!! I wear an 8 UK for the simpson and they are perfect so went 8 UK for the rain and they feel too big and the heel slips out when I walk.

Do you think wearing an insole might help?

It is Namor's navy boots that inspired this MTO. It is still open and we are close to filling it.

Very nice - I picked up the same pair, thanks to the tip from the same source. I find the fit a bit more narrow than other Rain last shoes I own or have tried - hoping they will stretch out a bit. Love the colour.

Most people size down a half in Rain relative to Simpson.

That being said, I found myself in an identical situation to you, and insoles made a positive difference. Others have had luck with tongue pads from amazon and I imagine they would be better for heel slip as they push the foot down into the shoe rather than lift it up. Worst case? Use both.

Despite being half a size too big, my wholecuts didn't crease awkwardly or suffer any other cosmetic damage. I'm sure they will be fine. If not, well, let me know, I am an 8 UK on the rain :)

What insole did you use?
