If Carmina says this is burgundy, it's possible the color is indeed burgundy. Burgundy does eventually lighten to more of a mid-brown color. These appear more red than the Cognac I've come across (more mid-brown, but shell colors do evolve over time)
Maybe. If that is the case then they must have been made a while ago but rarely worn. The footbed is not worn down, but that amount of aging on the shell would take a while.

Well, regardless of the name, your mystery color is certainly very nice. It's hard to tell age from the pictures due to lighting quality, but based on relatively minimal shell roll I'd agree these haven't seen a lot of wear

Exactly right, we will be taking preorders on those leathers only while the GMTO is open.
Just to clarify (before you’ve provided guidance- apologies). Is this specifically Ltd to Chelsea boot mto or general mto availability?

Sounds intriguing....?

Good question! I got ahead of mysef and have been planning in my head - all non-Chelsea boots. If restricted to Chelsea, that changes things for me.

I have now purchased 4 pairs of Carmina shoes through their MTO program in various sizes and lasts and was wondering:

Do any of you have experience in getting Carmina to make specific size adjustments? I am finding out my ideal size is probably UK7.75 EEE.

For example, if I need extra room in the instep and across the ball of the foot, is this possible?

Thanks for any help in advance.

This is going to rattle some feathers but i have lodged an official complaint via the consumer association of my country on Carmina due to their poor service.

I ordered a pair of monk strap in April that required the Singapore branch to ship it over and due to Covid-19, it was delivered in June (fair enough) but the shoe sizes were wrong, the left shoe was 1 size smaller than the right.

I was told it will be sorted out and will be informed once the right pair is shipped over. Come late August, i dropped multiple emails to Carmina and no one respond or bother to resolve the issue. I went to the store and found out the store was temporarily closed due to relocation and renovation.

It's amazing that you guys don't even bother to inform customers who gave you business or offer a proper resolution to their problem.

This is totally unacceptable from a service point of view and showcased the lack of professionalism in Carmina. I hope this post help shed some light for consumers and not blindly buy into their products.

I recall reading only the Chelsea and those leathers are reserved for that one makeup
No you're right, I forgot about that msg from Sara. Still not sure I want a Chelsea, and even if I do join this MTO I think I might go with one of the "regular" shell colors such as bourbon.

I’m sitting out a shell chelsea. I wear either an 11 or 11.5UK; with a shoe that long, it’d have more rolls than a sumo wrestler
