actually, yes. the handgrades just cost a little above $400. $500 is too expensive, imo.

The actual shoe looks different. It's a lighter shade and much better looking. Not sure why they won't tweak the colors on C&J site 'cause those seem a good deal off.
Barneys had a pair of C&J double monks, of a fairly heavy-duty kind, with dainite soles that I last saw there about a month ago going for $495. Well, the freaking things have been cleaned out already

Speaking of price, Cole Haan retails gems like that for $425

Echoing Maxnharry, why would you pay that much, when the incredible Clifford is only a little more at full retail. I'd say wait for a sale that's worth, er, waiting for. Unless, of course, you like it more than the Clifford and can't wait, in which case this conversation is pointless and you should just go and get them! Consider yourself justified.
