Feb 2 buyer purchases jacket (~$100 or so). June 11 (today) buyer sends me a message about the jacket saying there are 2 holes in a sleeve (with a picture). He says he did not wear the jacket and was going to take it to the dry cleaner. The jacket was NWT so it did not need a dry cleaning. I definitely do not remember holes in the sleeve when I had the jacket and I'm pretty thorough when I list things. I want to respond and say it was fine when I sold it. Do I owe him anything else?

Short answer: No.

Sounds good, thank you. I checked paypal and there is no record, i.e. the purchase happened after ebay switched to managed payments. Therefore, if he is looking for a remedy he's going to have to take it up with ebay. We'll see...

I replied that the jacket was thoroughly checked prior to the sale and there were no holes in it...now the buyer says he wants $35 to have it mended. I feel like he's just trying to extort money at this point. It's been 4 months so he can't leave any feedback, so I'm tempted to just ignore him. Here he is for your block lists: adicentra2003

FWIW That guy has spent thousands with me for 3 years pretty consistently without any issue but YMMV

I think my return rate on women's is about 1/3. Put up those Rothy's and Tieks I found a couple months ago, apparently one is "counterfeit", another is stretched out, same for one of the Tieks, and a jacket is "much smaller" than measured, including a picture of the jacket scrunched up with a tape measure over it. With the current system, you can't close non shipped returns after a week, you have to wait for them to close a month or so later. **** is out of control.

I estimate that my return rate on items bought by women (including men's items bought by women as gifts) is about 5X higher than for male buyers. I rarely even bother to list women's and children's clothing now. I just don't need the hassle.

Anyone had a similar one?
Buyer returned an item; stated does not fit, ok
Ships item back, filled wrongly customs formula.
Item is since wendsday in custom office.

He called ebay, opened case and ebay closed in his favor stating we got the item (within 20 min), when tracking tells it s in custom office. Now, ebay refunded price & shipping / I don’t have the item. Lol

What should I do? Wait for the item? Why shipping price also ?
Do i now own eBay full FVF also?

What are they smoking over their.

Thx
