Meermin cognac shinki shell NST. I don’t know why they crease so bad and have turned to number 8 ish ??‍♂️

Unlike many boots I see here it looks like you actually wear them. :cool2:
As for creasing and rolling it all comes down to how often and how they are used, rotation, maintenance and the use of shoe trees.

agreed, I think they’re very handsome. If the coloration of the picture is correct, they look like like they’ve taken on a coloration close to Horween #4, which I very much like!

DHL just dropped these off today from Sarah and her great team at Bodiley’s in Northampton, the Coniston in burnished tan.

I love the CJ Galway and Coniston boots, as to me they achieve the trifecta of quality, aesthetics, and price for a calf boot.

Beauties! I need to add some Coniston's to my shoe collection.

Incredible boots! Kudos to Nishant for sending those to a good home; you both have excellent taste!
Thank you Sir! I’ve owned the Carlos Santos and Vass versions of this boot, and never really understood the allure of owning the actual Galway. Until now... How do the kids say? “They hit different!” Lbvs!

Bit of a project this evening. Wanted to darken my C&J Bruar Conistons, and also to highlight the brogue captoe. Nothing wrong with the previous tan color, but it was a bit too light and uniform of a color for my liking.

did a thorough wipe down using Fiebing’s Deglazer to strip. Then applied one coat of Fiebing’s ‘Antique Finish’ Mahogany, wipe down, then a coat of ‘Antique Finish’ Dark brown. This dye is thick, with the consistency of ketchup. Apply liberally, leave on for a few minutes and then wipe off. The dye is intended to get down in the scotch grain and darken with a bit of shadow effect. Then I liberally applied Bick 4 twice, brushing well between coats. Lastly, some untinted creme polish and good brushing to the whole boot. Finished with a bit of toecap shining.
All in all, I like the color better now and it was pretty easy to do while watching TV

First two pictures were ‘before’, last three are ‘after’
