Thanks friend!

It's called spiderweb lacing and apparently the Canadian paratroopers use this method on their jump boots. I like doing this style on all my boots for some added dandiness. I found it by looking up ways of tying your shoes online.

I also lace up my Hamiltons from AE with this. It's a cool style and really makes a statement, without being too ridiculous, AND whilst retaining (most importantly) functionality of the lacing. Sadly, it doesn't work well on chukkas and other short boots that have very few eyelets, and I personally think it would look ridiculous on derby, oxford, or blucher shoes.

The process is less complex than it seems. Note: It does take up more lacing than normal straight lacing or criss-cross lacing, though!
Is it this method?

I like his site so much I have it bookmarked!

Isn't it the best?

I do the diagonal shoe lacing on my derbys and bluchers, straight lacing on my oxfords, and spiderweb on my non-chukka boots.

You can dandy up a pair of shoes a lot by this. It's almost as important as a good shoe shine.

Wingtips Saturday outing. The girls came up with the idea.

Love the picture and the boots. My kindergartener also wants to get her shoes in the photograph whenever she sees daddy taking pictures of his boots.

By the way what color(s) are the laces and welt? They look great with the green shell. Did you MTO this pair or buy the stock model

Thanks, bud. My girls, at such a young age, already think I have a shoe problem, :satisfied:

I got these boots directly from the NYC store, about a couple of months after their initial launch at the end of 2018. The welt on these boots is on chestnut color, and the laces are from a pair of Crockett and Jones boots that I swapped laces on, however I dont remember what pair.
