I personally can't do this whole gypsy thing (I don't layer much and very often wear a sportscoat underneath). I wear either leather jackets, bombers or menswear overcoats. Wearing a navy cashmere overcoat today.

I just want that wool wrap coat because i'm cold. i think heirloom has an iteration and he looks warm. but ultimately it's just appealing in theory as i would not wear it anywhere (maybe go for groceries ?). thick sweater + coat is all i need. can't believe Moth is so schizophrenic with that CDGH+ wool coat !

I don't understand how Canadians can handle winter. I have lived here for years now and every winter I ***** about how cold it is. My new plan of attack for Winter 2010 is to wear triple (last year was double) heat tech longjohns under bigger jeans, get a big Buzz Rickson's parka, triple heat tech and a sweater under that, triple heat tech socks and work boots, and not go outside.

Jeans aren't the greatest way to handle the cold. Sure, they're heavy, but cotton isn't very heat retaining, and it's like having a cold sheet of ice on you. You want flannel, son.

Seriously don't understand how people wear jeans in winter, but I guess since it is the de facto pant for millions of people.

See, I am constantly trying to find an alternative to a sportcoat. I will wear any kind of formless top piece before I have to choose sportcoat. Just personal preference... I guess i want to look like I'm wearing some kind of sweater or turtleneck year round.

This. At least now beanies and boots are cool. When I was in high school, no one ever wore a hat in the winter unless it hit -15 C or so.

on every level.

On topic, wrt baller outerwear, does anyone have any experience with m.a+ outerwear? I like the way that raglan coat that Atelier has looks. Probably will never cop, but I'm interested if anyone can speak on it.
