I found these "cuff links" at Silk Road, a fabric shop in Austin where they also sell buttons and fasteners. I found these in a pile of buttons and were sold for $2 for the pair. They seem to work effectively as cuff links though I'm not sure that was their intended purpose. I believe they are mother-of-pearl. The only issue is that it leaves a bit of a gap, though maybe it is tolerable. What do you think?

I wouldn't worry about the gap as it's common with double-sided links. Actually, it's quite easy to fashion your own links from shanked buttons using metal links or silk cording.

I think quite some people prefer the "gap" as opposed to the tight fit too

I have a couple of pair I bought at Balthazar, a sort of Paul Smith type shop in Palermo, Buenos Aires. One pair is green, the other purple. They had over 15 colors. These are a great way to get some color on your wrist without using silk knots.

Is there a source online for these? Silk Road only has this kind. I'd especially appreciate natural materials like MOP, onyx, etc. Color-dyed MOP would be nice but I'm not sure how common that is.
