We’ve approved a final prototype and ordered a set of sizes for MTM/fit purposes. I’m finalizing 3-4 sport coat fabrics for this spring + 1-2 suits (likely navy and grey Minnis fresco)
FWIW, I wear a size US9.5 shoe and my foot has a low instep. (My right foot is size 9.5D on the Brannock scale, my left food is size 9.25C.) Every Heschung I have bought, including the Thuya, has been size UK8.5. They are all on the roomy side, but I don't think I could size down an additional half size without the shoe being too short.
Update: I inserted Dr. Scholl's insoles into the Thuyas and the fit was greatly improved. I recommend this option if you find your Thuyas to be a bit roomy.
re: roomy Thuyas.
At first, I was weirded out by the fit of the Thuyas. They were so roomy. Then, I realized, you cannot think about Thuyas as shoes. You have to think of them as loafers. Once you get past that mental wall, Thuyas are awesome.
I have worn mine all over, walking for hours, and have never had any issues.
Very happy to see this.
