Wearing my Merino today and headed over to Starbucks. Lady walked in and profusely complimented me on the coat, and said it would be perfect for her boyfriend.

She asked the designer and where she could get one. I did not have the heart to tell her how elusive the coat was, but I did have her put Stephan Schneider and NMWA in her phone.

I gotta say - I asked for measurements a few days ago on some SS stuff, and have heard nothing. I understand Greg is sick (hope you feel better) but... what's the dealio?

Awesome Stitchy! My Merino coat gets pretty rave reviews as well. It is so awesome.

Also, a quick question about the larger Formosa suits--would they work well for bigger guys? My boss is looking for a new suit, in ~$1,500 price range, and the Sharkskin Formosa in 46R is still available. He is fairly portly. I do not know exactly what I am asking, but I guess I am wondering how... conservatively they fit as the sizes scale upwards.

Moo, a lot of the guys around here may be able to help you. If you give some other sizes, we can probably do some extrapolations.

I'll send you some pics of my dad when I get to all the pics from the trip, he ordered the 56 in nailhead flannel. I think it fits him pretty well.

Can't comment on the trousers but I have been exceedingly happy with my 60R sportcoat. Measurement extrapolation worked perfectly.

Edit: and the lower-than-trendy buttoning point helps the silhouette on a portly physique I think.

That is great to know. Thank you very much for the response.

And I agree, I think it is a very flattering shape on most any body-type.

Did you ask her to take a fitpic for you? :satisfied:

That wasn't the info she wanted for her phone.

(Don't tell Mrs. Stitches I said that.) :hide:
