Well, that's Alden for you. If you buy Aldens, you're buying huge toe boxes.

Unless you shell out some $$$ for 500 pairs of custom-made Aldens on a nontraditional last, like someone we know.

I have purchaed three pairs of Alden irregulars - #8 shell cordovan captoe derby boots, rust suede 6-eyelet anke boots and black calfskin captoe derby shoes. I cannot detect any noticable flaws and they all fit great.

Love to order the irregulars if they have the model / size. But too bad they don't ship outside of the U.S.

if they have shell in your size, the normal color shells seem to be $369, have not seen the exotic shells (whisky/cigar/ravello) on the irregulars list yet so don't know the price.

I recall contacting them over the summer regarding longwings and they had whiskey shell longwings in stock for $369.

OK, fess up- how many of you have cut off your little toes to fit into those pointy little girly shoes you all seem to favor?

I'm actually in the last stages of foot binding my size 13 feet so I can fit into a size 9 since there are always more size 9s on clearance.
