Pad cuts are a *****. Bleed like hell and are tough to heal. You had no choice unless you wanted to suture yourself.
+1. A couple years ago my dog cut his pad on broken glass during a walk several blocks from my house. It bled profusely from the time I carried him back to the house and then to the vet. Took a loooong time to heal.
They can heal badly. NorCal did the right thing.
