Not and Irish whisky afficianado by any stretch, but I do love the Red Breast! I know it's a little apples to oranges, w/ it being pot distilled, but I dig much more than regular J, BM or Powers. Also, can't stop w/ the damn Pegu Clubs. Having 3 a night since my initiation!

If you have any more, I like this a lot more after a year in bottle. Stash a couple for next holiday season. The spices mellow and the taste is much more balanced.

I got a 6er and only had the one, I'll probably save a couple since you say it gets better, or go back and see if they have any more 6s

Actually quite good. I am an Allagash fan but I had dimished hopes for it because it had only a decent rating on beeradvocate, but I was pleasently surprised. I would reccomend this one actually, but not as an everyday drinker

I finally bought a bottle of Laphroaig Quarter Cask. Exploring its peatiness, this bottle is not going to last very long. Had some Dogfish Indian Brown earlier, the beer that introduced me to microbrews. Too bad I don't have some Glenrothes, the whisky that introduced me to single malt scotch

that would make for a good nostalgia night.

I've been abstaining since about Thanksgiving, but last night seemed appropriate for a dram of Stagg in the new nosing glass.
