I found this forum through searching for watches and this thread has made me lust after a fair few pieces of machinery - some absolutely great pieces here... Also, for someone who appreciates the engineering and artistry I'm thankful for the insight and knowledge being flung around by the regular and not so regulars in this thread - cheers! The thing that pushed me over the edge into posting was the Sarapaneva on page 157. I would also appreciate any opinions on some questions I have in the bottom of the post.. Every Appreciation thread has some guy posting some dirty skanks where the rest of the girls are ass-lickingly hot.. well.. i'm going to be that guy.. here goes.. Seiko unknown - don't laugh I know it's a toy watch. Suits because I got it when I was 13 Original G-Shock DW-5600 901 H. I only just got a battery in it when taking the photo but it's used in 24 hr mode. My favourite watch and incidentally my only "Swiss made" watch. Swatch Chrono the Irony - great name. It's such a shame it's not mechanical. Seiko Dolce. Really like the form of the crown which has a black bead of some sort on the end of it. Grandfather's watch so a bit small for my wrist. A few watches I've tried on recently - crappy phone camera: Moonphase (3576.50.00). Probably my favourite watch at the moment.. Speedy Date (3210.50.00). Seiko unknown automatic. Apparently circa 70's. Note the single button for the timer. 2 questions for all the gurus.. 1.) is there anything wrong with getting a circa $1000USD Speedy Reduced (3510.50.00) from http://www.collectorstime.com/pre-owned-item.php? I'm hoping it will tide me over till I can get a Moonphase (also it's automatic which I prefer for day to day).. I kind of like it better than the Speedy Date pictured on my wrist above but worried about second hand counterfeits as it's discontinued... 2.) does anyone know where I could find a replacement Seiko Diver (movement 7s26) non-English language day wheel? Where does one go looking to see if it even exists? My next watch will be a Seiko SKX007K I'm tossing up between a Mk II face - http://www.mkiiwatches.com/ProductDe...000-1122415053 vs getting a non-English language day wheel. Cheers - thanks to this thread I'm looking forward to my first mechanical automatic

Just wait and get the Speedy Pro if that's what you really want (and you should, it's a great classic). Don't waste time and money on intermediary steps.
