I believe the wait is 600 days. They trim it to 300 if you pack one of your kidney's on ice and send it to them. Congrats on the watch Alter.

I contacted them and asked if they could do a special order without the date box. They said that they couldn't but that some special limited editions do come out and that it may be possible in the future.

So, I patiently waited and read their periodical emails that mentioned special editions and whatnot. Finally, my chance came but the special edition featured a rather expensive movement that was, frankly, above my budget. But I emailed to get on the waiting list anyways.

So, (as I move in TL;DR territory) it turns out that they couldn't source that expensive movement so they apologized and offered the watch with their normal (cheaper) mechanism but with the design without the date box. Perfect!

It arrived today:

Thanks All.

It was around 8 months from when they made the initial announcement of a Marine Automatik (without date) with matte finished case and with solid silver dial with an A-10 movement. Around 4 months ago when they announced they couldn't get the A-10 movement so would use their standard ETA 2824-2 movement.

Around one month ago they told me it was ready to be shipped soon.

Please note that this particular watch was a limited edition and is probably not available if requested....but worth a try if you are interested. It really is a lovely watch.

What does the watch community here think about RGM watches? Some of their offerings look interesting.

A shot from a few days ago of a new SD. Even with all the hype over the new SubC I decided to go with the old version. Now the new Explorer is tempting.

It's a bit busy for my personal taste, but it looks good on that strap.
