That's very interesting. I am surprised you can fit them because I think I would find an 82 last 8/8.5 in UK C width to be rather snug - and I wear a very similar size to you, except probably a letter width narrower. However, if EG did stamp their RLPL shoes in US letter widths it would mean that those TDs were made on UK D width lasts. I could understand how they might then fit you. I just took delivery of a pair of Shannons in size 8.5/9C 82. They fit me fine and feel rather snug over the instep.

Thanks in advance. A truly impressive collection, from what I've seen.

I once knew a guy who had a lot of horses. If you ever asked him how many horses he had, he'd tell you to count the legs and divide by four. Silly, of course, because he had horses all over the place and you couldn't do it. I guess he didn't want to answer the question. I've seen this asked of Andrew before, but have never seen him answer. Maybe we should count eyelets and divide by 10. But that wouldn't work because of the monks....

Haven't counted in a long, long while. And there always seems to be another pair (or ten) on the way or in the works.

As of Monday, I'll have three pair of EG MTO boots, 2 pair of Scafora bespokes, 2 pairs of Lobb monkstraps and 1 pair of Cleverely bespoke in the pipeline.

Resistance is futile!

Please leave enough hides so I can still order a pair when they get to Houston.

I'm generally a fan of wholecuts, and I figure I want the shoe to focus on the hide (instead of other 'flash', like layers of leather and brogueing). I saw the picture of the three-eyelet derby and am thinking something along that line. Any thoughts or suggestions?
