Update to update: visited Salvatore and his father a few hours ago and tried on my 2 pairs (grey double-pleated in Drapers wool/cashmere, medium brown flat front cords). I was quite pleased with how they turned out, and will pick them up tomorrow after a few minor tweaks. Pics to follow.

Those are cords by H&S, which I understand are no longer in production. I'm having another pair made up in a dark green, and Salvatore has one remaining length in burnt orange.
