This thread is really boring. It, honestly, is lacking in the usual "250k backup job" department that typically defines SF.

I'm a corporate attorney (in-house) for a middle-market investment bank.

I make charts and tables.

Every couple of months I might put one of the above onto a powerpoint slide.

My education background is in economics and urban planning but I'm basically a market research analyst as well. I work in the public sector though so the pay scales and work responsibilities differ vastly from what you would see in the private sector. But, $50k for entry level market research analysts sounds a little bit high IMO except for a few specific industries or a few particular geographies. I would expect something closer to the mid-$40s is a bit more the norm in this field.

To AntiHero - Do you work in the private sector and focus on any particular industries? I'm always looking at information or for ideas on how to make the leap into the commercial real estate world and I'm particularly interested in site location type work.

I don't really want to come out and say what I make, but I will say that's about the median for entry-level. Like most positions, it will depend on location and experience. http://swz.salary.com/SalaryWizard/M...y-Details.aspx
