Anyway, the stealing thing...my other friend gave up on him after that, but I think he deserves a second chance. When I talk to him, I think a lot of his problems stem from lack of self esteem (duh), but he has this ability to block logic from his brain like a fat guy at the cool jock's pool party. He's flirting with the point of no return, however, which is why I am trying to set him on the right path before he's lost forever.

Wake up, dick head!! HE ONLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF! He's willing to treat like a tool just to look like a **** to the rest of the world. You look as much as a loser as him for just associating with him.

This really upset me. And I'm about to go to sleep. Terrible thing you did here, OP. Never bring this guy up again.

It seems that you are quickly becomming a douche for sticking by this dude. Cut him off. When he calls and asks why you are not rolling with him anymore, TELL HIM! Tell HIM that he stole from you and that he is a cheesy/cheap/mofo. Then say, peace dude. All set. Move on!

If you end up going out with him again find ways to embarrass him miserably. Like at a bar and you see him talking to a woman he's into. "Hey man I got you another drink since you said you were broke until your next paycheck again."

I'd do this, but I'd think he'd attack me physically, haha

Actually, this is not the case.

Actually, it is. Had he not stolen it, it would have been property of the waiter, not of the OP. OP had relinquished his claim to it.
