I have this friend who is the definition of gawdy. He wears versace shirts, true religion jeans, and lacoste sneakers. He leases a new Benz every year or two. He always wants to eat at fancy restaurants and bars.

He won't change. That is his chosen path. Find new friends.

Apparently 7FAM has dropped their price point to around $170, and are perpetually on sale. I don't think they'd be the first choice for the hood rich.

Well, if you've known him for that long, just be blunt about it. Tell him flat out that he's a poser, comes off as a douche, and that you're embarrassed to be around him when he's acting that way. If he has fully formed frontal lobes, he should be able to take some constructive criticism.

    +1

Honestly I don't think I could hang out with a 'friend" who could steal from me and thats exactly what he did when he took the "tip" money you and the other guy left.

The moment he stole your money, i.e. the tip money, he is no longer your friend. Friends do not do that to other friends.

what type of benz does he lease
    e350 coupe I think? It's 2 years old I think.

Anyway, the stealing thing...my other friend gave up on him after that, but I think he deserves a second chance. When I talk to him, I think a lot of his problems stem from lack of self esteem (duh), but he has this ability to block logic from his brain like a fat guy at the cool jock's pool party. He's flirting with the point of no return, however, which is why I am trying to set him on the right path before he's lost forever.
