Great first post. I love that suit - proof that a ticket pocket isn't too much on a DB.

I like both these looks, particularly the bow tie fit. I've had a few attempts with a pointed end tie and can't get it looking right - I must practice!

Sunday Stroll - trying to bring a bit of colour to a dull old day:

20100207.jpg

Cord SC: Hackett
Gingham shirt: M&S
Jeans: Levi 501s
Shoes: Barker Nairn

Felt a PS was too much.

Red, White, and Blue. Patriotic colors for both the UK and the US.

Photo from Thursday in a pub by Victoria Station. Me, Bairms and Neofinita.

Neo was the only one of us with a camera. A tip for those who share my larger build - don't stand next to young slimmer figures, and don't allow yourself to be at the edge of the frame when photographed by a compact set to a widish angle

Great guys to meet up with, even if it was a flying visit.

What a GREAT picture. And, in reference to your comment about "slimmer figures, you are more than holding your own with flying colors.

Nice splash of color. If only I could pull that off.

Yesterdays more drab attempt. Simple black Tneck with jeans for a cold Saturday. At least we had fun.

You are really 'loosening' up in photos. Very relaxed, great smiles, candid, clothes look wonderful (and watches-- drool), and best of all, the beard really works.

Great job. And family! And belated congrats on your splendid work down south.

Thanks gentlemen. The wife actually ties a better bow than me ... shameful ... lol.

CP, here is a detailed shot ... Its a vintage silk bowtie i picked up from a thrift store a while back .... the maker's label is no longer on it.

Neo needs to start posting again. Good to hear he is gone only for a while.

Gr8 photos Greg ... The navy pants (jeans?) here fit really well ... very flattering!! Maybe they should be a template for future bespoke or OTR purchases, as well as alterations.

thanks mrchapel - the pants are from Polo RL. I think the model name is the Beaton, if i remember right. I could be wrong ... have had it for a while and i just checked and there is no model name listed on the tags i looked at. Did a quick google search and found this ... although this has pleats and mine is FF, so i could be wrong on the model name:

I think this picture will get quoted a lot and for good reason, this is just a really solid, yet interesting casual look. I'd probably never have considered wearing a red sportcoat like that until I saw this picture.. Very well done MoK!!

My little boy picked out this watch for me a few years ago when he was 4 or 5, he liked the way the crystal seemed to flash blue from certain angles. I pull it out from time to time to make him happy..
