depends on location, skill of tailors, and how much work they need to have done etc. but I've had hems done same day, no prob.

What's the benefit of having the tailor take in a suit at the side vs back seam? Or rather, which is the best way to take in a suit, and is there a different purpose for taking it in from side vs back seam? As in do they offer the same overall effect?

Because my tailor has been only taking in my suits from the center seam

One tailor where I frequent takes in the side seams only, another takes in the back only, and then another one will often take in the sides and back. All three tailors are at the same BB; nonetheless, the end result is always pleasing to me.

Interesting. I guess I'm not too worried about it then

38R fitzgerald in navy stripe arrived yesterday. Looks great, fabric is slightly heavier weight than my other 1818 suits that have the saxxon wool. Pinstripe is noticeable but not overbearing. Fit is slim and consistent with my other 38R fitzes. Classic and conservative - I think it's a great deal for $400.

Despite BB's various operational problems, the product (quality, sizing, and pricing) is what keeps me coming back to them.
