I would be curious to see an analysis broken down by things like education level, professional status.

It might also be interesting to see data distinguishing 'dating' preferences from 'relationship' preferences. For example, there are a lot of women I probably wouldn't mind 'dating', but if they don't have something substantive to offer, their usefulness would probably expire somewhere around 2 am (on a good night). I'm sure the same would probably be true (if to a somewhat lesser degree) for many women.

Such men might dress better or exercise more if they knew.

This doesn't explain the absolutely gorgeous model-quality young blonde I passed the other day strolling down Newbury Street on the arm of a stubby, ugly, obviously wealthy troll of a man ten years her senior.

There already is research on men's two sets of standards, although it could be better. The other suggestions are good ones.

Which two sets are those?

Let me guess: T, and A.

Sets of standards? Is that the report about what people notice about the other sex at first?

I remember that women first oogle men's eyes, then their butt.

Actually, the research suggests that women looking for short-term mating prefer more rugged-looking men. Men, on the other hand, probably focus more on the body (compared to the face and other criteria) when seeking 'encounters.'
