Treated my 1000 Mile Krauses tonight with Obenaufs HD. Couldn't be happier with the results. The only negative I could find was that it brought out some discoloration in one of the toe boxes. I'm guessing it will be less pronounced with wear so not really worried about it. I'll post pics soon.

Wow,nice. I think that I will be going this route. I am dropping them off tomorrow for the half soles and then I leave for Chicago Sunday. When I get back I hope they are ready and this will be next my next step. Thanks for posting the pics, enjoy your holiday

OK, I usually wear UK7, this is US8, so I should get US7.5 in the Wolverine 1000 mile. My doubt now is: I got narrow feet, and I heard some people have to size down a full size, when is this the case? narrow feet? is the 1000 mile a wide last?

I had to go down a full size from a US 10 to a 9

I have narrow feet as well and I went from my normal size of 11 D to a 10 D and there's still some room if I want to wear thick socks. With thick socks they fit snug. If you've got wide feet they say only size down 1/2. I would go into a store and try them on though if you can

I sized down from 13 to 12 and wouldn't change it if I could do it over. I wear a 13E in dress shoes btw.

Yeah, be prepared to size way down for narrow feet. I'm US 9C on a Brannock and ended up with a US 7.5D 1k and still room to spare.

I normally wear 9.5 US D shoes - AE, 9.5/10 - EG for example. I ordered the 1K boots in 9D and they fit me very well. I treated them with Lexol and the boots are now really nice chocolate brown. The leather quality is pretty good- soft, supple, and yet tough. These boots are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I ever worn and I can wear them all day long without taking them off!! They are so comfortable (and look good) that I wear them to just about anywhere with any style of clothing. I plan to get more 1K boots for sure!

Ok guys, fit advice needed:

I'm a 8E in one foot and a 7.5EE in the other. The shoes I wear are all over the place, size wise. Very last-dependent. Seeing as the 1000k only comes in a EEE, do I go for the D and count on the CXL to stretch as required? If so, 7.5D?

I'd wear with thickish socks, but not full boot socks. These are for casual wear but not tackling the Appalachian Trail.

Getting a D, when you are at a minimum an E fitting sounds wrong to me.

Why not go to a retailer and try on various sizes and widths ?
