What to do with this Kiton Sartorio sportcoat?

Hi all, I came across this very nice cashmere Kiton Sartorio sportcoat (3 roll 2). It appears totally unconstructed. I don't really know much of anything about blazer or sportcoat construction, but it looks like it's just unlined (or just partially lined), and there are also no buttonholes on the sleeves. There are also some threads that can be seen by the shoulder seam. See here: http://i39.tinypic.com/2hygnjc.jpg I have a few questions: (1) why is the sportcoat/blazer being sold this way? Is this typical? (2) What would someone have to do to make this item functional and wearable on a daily basis, and if so, who would you bring it to? Here are some pictures -- please let me know what you think. Thanks.

You are totally right, this jacket is useless and should never have been sold like this. I will take it of your hand for USD 50.

The coat is awesome, period. The sleeves are open to adjust for length, pretty much industry standard on this level coat. The thread on the shoulder is there for show, pull gently to remove. And the lack of lining is purposeful, also lack of padding in the shoulders. It is simply a deconstructed coat. I think you should read these pages more, as I am not sure you realize the gem you have come across. Edit: This was a joke right?

+2500, you obviously got a defective jacket.
Pay me $40.00 to take it off your hands, you pay shipping.

(3) Would anyone wear something like this "as is," or is the whole point of selling the sportcoat in its current form to allow the customer to do as he pleases with the sleeve buttons, lining and so forth?

Here are some other -- please let me know what you think. Thanks!

How did you get the jacket?

I sold it (I hope you don't mind mentioning it) and I'm slightly confused^^.
Concerning the unfinished sleeves: I highly recommend to check the inside pockets, there is a small surprise in it!
The sleeves are made this way to be adjusted to your needs, the thread on the shoulders (as well as the thread holding together the loose endings of the sleeves) should be removed.
The soft construction of the coat is just the way the coat was designed to be, get the sleeves altered if necessary, let the tailor sew on the buttons at the right place then, get wokring buttonholes if you want to and wear it as an odd/sportcoat!

Hi Cravate_Noire and rjmaiorano, thank you for the feedback (and thanks to others for the vitriol and generally hilarious comments). I've never owned a Kiton or Sartorio jacket of any kind, and it was one of those things that caught my eye when it was offered on the B&S forum. It had been listed there for a couple weeks and there was a fair bit of discussion about it, but it still did not sell. Eventually, I thought it was cool or unique enough to buy it. I guess a more sensible person would have asked the questions that I asked before purchasing it, but I'd seen a number of jackets like this being offered on B&S and eBay so I just assumed they normally came like this anyway.

In any case, my questions were totally legitimate so I appreciate those that took the time to answer them. On another note, I had a very pleasant transaction with Cravate_Noire, and would recommend him to all as an honest and responsive seller.
