pocket squares
bowties with non-black tie
hats
fur

rolled up sleeves
to explain, I had a coworker that rolled up his sleeves every day without fail for two years. To above his elbows. I thought he looked like a complete idiot.
I will roll up a bit while driving or if I need to do physical work
but I dislike when people roll up their sleeves as the norm

Where do you live? If it's 100 degrees outside then I'm rolling these bad boys up unless I need to be more formal.

One thing that I would never wear are contrast collar shirts. It just screams douche. Also, anything in paisley.

If we aggregated all the "do not wears" I suspect we'd end up concluding that we should only ever wear dark 2-button SB suits with white shirts and balmoral shoes. Apparenty without wristwatches (Las - really?)

Are wristwatches, pink shirts, or black brogues really that evil? (Full disclosure: I am wearing a Cartier Tank on a black croc strap today; wore a light pink shirt on Monday and wore a weather-beaten pair of 20-year old black EG full brogues yesterday because it was raining and the cracked leather is by now held together primarily by a mix of Renovateur and shoe cream and they will die soon so I don't mind them getting soaked. If England get to the Euro 2012 finals, I'll dig out my England shirt and go to the pub with my mates to watch it. And I was briefly in a very hot and mildly dangerous third world country recently and my well-worn Royal Robbins "cargo pants" were both useful and appropriate, thank you very much.)

You should not wear:

- most "designer" ****;
- cheap ugly ****;
- **** that does not fit;
- **** that does not fit (repeated for emphasis).

And that's about it. Personally, I would rather staple my ballsack to a piece of wood than wear boat shoes except when saliling a yacht, any form of "interesting" t-shirt, most American shoes, bow ties (except with black/white tie), cravats, or a gimp mask in public. But anything else, done well, ought to find favour here.

crocs are ugly.
Picking them at work makes me want to cry. Partly because they are a nightmare to stack properly on the trolley and partly because I know they are going to someone completely lacking in taste. Bird came round tonight wearing them, they look even worse on the foot than on the shelf. Each to their own and all that but just why?

Chinos.
