The best beer. It’s beer very powerfully. For racist dipshits.

Great beer, Like you wouldn’t believe, it has the best hops
Yes.Local bottle shop has stated stocking Plantation Original Dark Rum, any one here recommend it?
And tonight walked into a local bar for a pint of Stone & Wood Pacific Ale while waiting on a Turkish pide.
Also a cost issue for me. I looked at my last credit card statement, and I spent over $600 on booze for the month. WTF? I thought drinking at home during the lockdown was going to be cheaper than drinking at bars.AC, sorry to hear for the reason you need to cut back, but it is probably a good idea for long term health anyway. This profession isn't light on stress and is high on drinking so it is always something to keep an eye on. I am cutting back, too, even though I've always been a lightweight. I've also lost like 20 lbs in March and that has made be feel like even more of a lightweight.

Recs for martini ratios?
I've seen everything from 2-1, 4-1, 5-1... (and how much olive brine?)
You use gin and vodka? InterestingI don't want to talk about the cost of my alcohol habit. As stated I've been nearly dry, this week we had a bottle of wine for wine/cheese/charcut dinner and I celebrated making it through an extremely hellish week last night with 2 oz of Pappy's 15. But for the last decade, between wine and spirits (to include going out,) I've probably been spending between 2-4k a month. Not how to FIRE, that's for sure!
I constantly play around with my martinis. I've settled into a Vespers type riff that is somewhere around .75 oz vermouth/aromatized wine, 1-1.5 oz gin, and 3-3.5 oz vodka. As noted previously, dash of orange bitters. Depending the modifier and my mood maybe a splash of brine, but usually not. Depending on both again lemon rind (Cocchi or Lillet.)
Stir, don't shake. If you make more than goes into a glass, a sidecar on ice, as if you leave ice in it will become over diluted.
Probably been ranging $300 - $600 in purchasing each month (higher end during COVID) though not quite drinking that amount. The good news is I have brought it down recently (good for liver). The bad news is that saved cash is starting to flow toward Japanese wagyu steaks at an alarming rate.I don't want to talk about the cost of my alcohol habit.
