Does anyone know where I can get navy seersucker? Preferably not in cotton but in wool or wool-silk. Thanks.
Loro Piana has a wool and silk seersucker in several colors, navy being one of them. i believe its a 160s blend, so obviously not cheap, but its very nice. I cant recall the book off the top of my head, but I'll check if you're interested.

This is rarely brought up, but one downside to the texture of fresco and similar cloth is it attracts dust, hair, and other crap like nothing else. Something to keep in mind if you want to wear the suit professionally. I have to carry around a clothes brush or (the horror) a lint roller whenever I wear my hopsack jacket, or fresco and rangoon suits at work.

And for this reason I really need an area rug in my closet. Even just the minor touch of the hardwood floor when putting on a pair of fresco trousers will attract all types of dust around the cuffs. Tough times we live in these days...

Mohair is the devil for this as well I've found.

New stuff received.

The two S130 navys are superb, specially the slightly purplish one, sadly can´t get the proper blue on my camera, need to keep learning.

Gentlemen of Unfunded Liabilities, This thread is dead since I left. Need to shake things up a bit ;)

Today we have on a black on cream base micro houndstooth (or Shepherds check) suit. Fabric is Smith Woolens from its Botany bunch. It weights in at 13oz and wears and drapes like a 13oz cloth. The suit is yet to be broken in properly so fabric is still quite stiff but I like the feeling of substance it conveys.

I've gone with a slight roomier cut in a classic 6x2 double breasted configuration. The compromise is the suit doesn't follow the small of the back (S-shape) like my previous coats due to the roomier waist. Fair compromise for more comfort and ease of movement I suppose.

Enjoy the clip ...

Jacket's back is actually more attractive this way, although the hips still don't fit. The bottom buttons don't quite align with the buttonholes when at rest.

Does anyone else get reminded of Rukeyser's Wall Street Week when watching the entrance?

Concordia, Valid comments on hips, duly noted. I have same issue on another cream D/B dinner jacket which is being ironed out.

Thank you for the comments

Looking for some recommendations if possible, for:

1. A very matte medium or dark grey pick and pick/sharkskin in a fairly heavy weight. Have been looking at Dugdale royal classics version at around 12/13oz

2. A very broad scale navy herringbone suiting (maybe 1cm per 'stripe') somewhere between 11 and 14oz. Neither scale in the Dugdale books is wide enough. I really dislike narrow herringbone and narrow stripes generally

3. A dark green jacketing, perhaps tweed, perhaps Italian, perhaps herringbone

Grateful for any ideas!

Anyone know where I can pick up some Nantucket Red fabric? The OTR stuff from Murray's and the like is just way too roomy for me, but I do like the fabric and would like to share with my tailor.

H&S Classic Worsteds 654066 and 67 are matte finish at 13oz.
