Hmm... I saw a giant list on page 675 but it was only for tweeds. I'll continue to poke around and see what I can find.

thats really nice find!

I am seriously jelly of those who can have relatively easy assess to this Milan fabric shop.
Thank you for your kind comment. It is this store in Milan with vintage fabrics for me is extraordinary. And if you go to my name is there with the best prices. But this was the final fabric. Now is extinguished forever.

Off white linen suit will be more versatile you can pair the jacket separately.

Yeah I am looking for a suit to wear the white trousers as separates for a blazer, do you reckon linen will be better? I was thinking that a sleeker less creased look would work better for a blazer, but maybe not?

I'm actually planning to get a light gray suit, but I think I'd get it in wool instead.

That seems to have a much more brown ground to it, no?
I also like that in the first picture, an overcheck is absent but the glen check itself is made of alternating colors.
Maybe this is one of those types of cloths that is not in the SF favorite bunches but something only Italian tycoons know where to find

as others said, around US $90 a metre so depending on ur size prob about US $300 for a suit.

+1 but u know if u get a lite grey worsted with patch pockets, contrast buttons and belt loops u can get a whole lot more use out of it as a suit + 2 odds

I'll take linen over wool for myself for casual summer suiting any day of the week especially if you live in a hot climate. Don't want to talk you out of a white suit to me it's just a bit costumey, navy blazer and white trousers is fine if you are cruising on a yacht. Also I'll almost be conscious of getting it dirty all the time while I am wearing it. I would still recommend you to consider a off white or light beige colour, I have this colour suit made with W Bill 60129 it's a great colour for a suit. Always gets a lot of compliments on the colour when I wear it.

I would go wool on the light grey suit either in worsted or fresco as Pliny suggest consider patch pockets so you can wear it as separates. Here is one of mine in Fresco.

Going back to my previous questions about white suiting options, what do people think about silk linen blends for a slightly smoother fabric? I touched some at a store the other day and really liked the feel of it.

For cream suiting, go for traditional all wool worsted for the ultimate clean drape look.

I have used Dugdale Formal range before and I am very happy with it.

Linen and silk mix sounds pretty good as well.
