I have a Linen-Cashmere blend summer sport from Canali. Wears cool and light.

Likewise, I have a very old blazer in a linen, cashmere, and camel hair blend from some Italian mill (Carlo Barbera?) which is very light in weight and it wears quite cool in the heat and has actually held up very well to wear and tear. I would definitely consider such a cloth again for a summer odd jacket.

I'm starting to get into formalwear and was wondering if anyone had any recs for

- A summer tux fabrics?
- Cream dinner jackets? I've seen some great duponi knapped silks, though I have no idea how to source duponi, and then there's always palm beach cloth, but that hasn't been made in decades I don't think

If you are aiming for the season and not the climate, cream-colored barathea might make a nice DJ.

Im waiting on samples for dupioni and tussah silks from etsy. Stuff is heavy. I’ll let u know how it goes. I’m getting a Casablanca tux made soon. I have some halstead and dormeuil lightweight kid mohair tuxes that run cool unless you’re doing heavy duty dancing

Holland & Sherry's Dupioni bunch has a silk hopsack that would be great-- it looks more cream/ivory irl than in the scan, and the price is reasonable for silk (sub $175 in the US). The cream color in H&S's Mesh Blazer bunch would be another good option (it looks more cream-colored in person). The texture isn't as distinct as it looks, either.
