This is some kind of 'greatest' hits collection, they have made these two cloths up in previous collections hardly original.

Judging by the lack of sizes on Mr. Porter and the fact that I don’t see these anywhere on the Drakes site, I think Mr. Porter is pulling these out of old stock to sell from prior seasons. Does anyone else think this is the case rather than a rerun of the same cloths?

Mr Porter seems to stock some Drake’s exclusives. I’ve noticed shirts in the past aren’t available in the Drake’s flagship.

I think Drakes has gone too far and too fast with its expansion into RTW. To me the cuts are very uninspiring and the fabrics predictable...there is none of that British quirkiness that made their accessories so unique. And I even think that has suffered the past couple of collections.

Just picked up the Drakes x Stoffa scarf, in beige.

@dieworkwear, did you end up picking that one up?

Did you get it online?

I bought one of the beige ones, but they sent me the indigo with a black paisley print instead. I ended up liking it so much that I'm keeping it. Went back to buy the beige one again, but saw that it was sold out. Did you buy it recently?

I bought it about an hour ago. The New York store had one, had to get it shipped quickly. You may want to check there.

Not sure about the US site, but non-US Drake's site has them listed online.

Also, I appreciate the impressions. It looks like a nice transitional scarf.

Not sure if "appreciate the impressions" means you want my first impressions but ...

The indigo one is great. It's much larger than I was anticipating. I think it's manageable under normal outerwear (I wore recently with a Ten C liner that I sometimes use as a regular jacket). But it's a little better under a heavier, larger coat (e.g. like a topcoat or overcoat).

The color is also really unstable since this is naturally dyed. Mine came slightly faded at one of the creases and, from a few wears, I can tell it's going to age in uneven ways. I think that could be nice. Probably going to be less noticeable on a lighter color. I think Drake's site said something about how the color will run if it gets hit with some kind of acidic solution, such as lemon juice.

The scarf feels very bohemian, like something that would be sold in one of those womenswear boutiques with Native American jewelry, super expensive niche lines, and a cow skull hanging on the wall. And, like, the woman working behind the counter has a dress and cool vintage boots. It's actually somewhat easy to find Indian block-print scarves like these for super cheap, but hard to find ones that don't feel feminine.

Mine is this one, now seemingly sold out on the US site.

This is the one I originally ordered, but received the blue one instead. I may call the NYC store and order it again.

Well, I really appreciate your updated impressions - however, I was being dead serious in my initial post. Anyone who orders two of a similar scarf clearly liked the first one.

The navy one has a great motif. I thought this was really, really neat:

Also, I get the feeling that "India"-inspired clothing could be a new thing on the horizon.

Yea, it's crazy how much I've seen India pop up recently in collections. There's 18 East, 100 Hands, this Stoffa collaboration, and then Corridor recently introduced a new line of naturally dyed garments made in New Delhi (which they advertise as part of the selling point). Their line is called Sunshine Blues.

I think there are one or two more that I may be missing. But I feel like I've seen India-themed and -made collections come up a lot recently.

There's also the Drake's Jupe By Jackie collection that is embroidered in India.

I've only been to India one time two years ago, but it did include a stretch in Jaipur. As someone who knows nothing about this topic, it strikes me that Jaipur India could be the fabric center of the universe. You could buy just about any type of fabric there, and they would make it into traditional Indian clothing and also Western clothing. Some of these places are hybrid factories / shops with a huge selection. They also seemed to be interested in what I was wearing and offered to buy my Oak Street Bootmakers penny loafers from me (probably so they could copy it and start selling it on their own). It doesn't surprise me that brands are staring to notice India in a bigger way and I agree that this year could be the start of a big trend in the coming years.

I know we’re on the Drakes thread, but I have liked the idea for a long time of a capsule collection by @luxire, offering traditional Indian fabrics made up as pants and shirts.

I picked up some shorts from SSB this summer - they are really nice.

Otherwise, I dig the whole "eastern"-inspired clothing, especially when it comes to textiles.
