As someone who has never been to a uniqlo store or owned any of their products can someone please summarize why they are so popular?

I have been buying polos from Land's End and have been very happy with the quality and fit. I need to shop for slim fit chinos and I was wondering if I should pick something from Uniqlo or Bonobos?

Their "blackfriday" sale is on. Heattech t's for 9.90 and their long sleeve/ long johns for 12.90 and other stuff. I stocked up on the Heattech.

Uniqlo just seems to fit me pretty well whereas with other brands I usually have to have the clothes tailored adding to the cost. The quality is pretty good, and the prices are reasonable.

Does a size S heattech long john sound right if I usually take a size 29 trouser? The waist measurements they list make these things seem tiny.

Why do you need an US credit card? I use my CIBC Visa with no issues.
