Everything looks super wide in the chest which I realize is lemaire but in the lengths I need they're not long enough. Again lemaire.

Still going to try some stuff out.

Bought ultra-light down jackets for myself and my 11-year-old son. Nice jackets and good value at $60, but my God their customer service was unhelpful and even rude in the Roosevelt Field store. Would make me think twice about buying from Uniqlo again.

Got a few pieces from the U SS19 collection and pretty happy with it.

Many things are already re-runs or improved versions of past released items with new materials and altered details, yet still quite a solid collection for me, especially with the vibrant palette this season.

In terms of fit, a lot of things needed to be tried on in person as some may be too large or too exact, as always with Lemaire fits and details.

I sized down on the Military Fatigue Jacket and the Denim Jacket and it still fits with a good allowance for movement. The latter is more of a blouson type so others might find it short on the hem which takes a while to get used to. I also wish it had side pockets like the women's denim jacket. Blocktech coat also has a nice cut, the Single Breasted coat and Coach Jacket is the same as past seasons, the Track Jacket is also nice although it does feel a bit plasticky for me (well, it's made of nylon so no wonder).

The Tailored polyester and Seersucker suits have the same fit as the 18FW suit, quite good if you want some light summer suiting. The polyester actually doesn't feel that cheap, but don't expect much, too.

Knits are good, the Mesh Cotton Crew Neck is actually nice but still thinking about it since I don't use these kinds of knits much. The V-neck cardigan is similar to the 18FW design only that it is now in cotton/nylon which is very drapey if you size up. The Milano rib blazer jacket is in cotton/nylon too but somehow feels slightly shorter and with higher buttons than last season's wool version.

Shirting is the same as always. I got the long sleeve wide fit shirt with an open collar, which has 50-50 cotton rayon mix, same material as the s/s open collar from 18SS. The linen shirts are nice as well if you're into it. I just wish they just change out the thick plastic buttons already. The s/s polo shirts have moved on to have nut/mother of pearl buttons already which is a good thing.

Pants and bottoms are pretty much the same in terms of fit, but the the easy pants and baker pants are really wide and using thin material, which may or may not be good depending on your needs, but good for the summer weather. U jeans are still the same as always, but I still miss the thicker denim of 2017. I got the double pleated chinos which has a cavalry twill-like weave like the past last FW seasons chinos. Feels durable.

For tees, you can also size down on some items like the oversized half-sleeve tee, the pocket s/s tees and still feels relaxed, unless you like the really oversized fits. I got this season's iteration of the milano rib crew neck s/s sweater. Sweats and hoodies are pretty much the same, good thing most of them are 100% cotton again.

Shoes and bags are so-so for me. The cap does looks ordinary but actually has a nice shape on the head for some reason.

@cafedandy

Thanks for the write-up.

What would you say about sizing the coach jacket?
Looking at the measurements it seems like I could size down one and still have a relaxed fit. The medium has a Pit-Pit of over 23" for instance.

I got this in yellow and white but hasn’t arrived yet.

I might get a pair of chinos and some tees as well, later on.

Tried that too and it’s ok to size down. :)
But it might also depend on your styling, if you’ll be layering a lot and such.

Posting some fit pics for your reference. I’m 5’5” and 68kg, fits are based on Asian Uniqlo sizes, may vary on your region.

I also tried two womenswear items, the women’s mock neck sweat in melange gray and the relaxed fit t-shirt in brown, both quite comfy and passable for men if you wear a few sizes up.

Thanks for the pics and comments. That mesh sweater looks good. The cardigan too, that’s another thing I was considering.
