Would you mind sharing a pic of the leather? I am thinking about a MTO in the grey museum and would love to see the leather in the wild.

Heya Ranjeev,

As below, sorry as its night time here, so no natural light (and im a terrible photographer) - will take some photos during the day if I remember.

Its mostly a more complex brown to be honest with light grey marbling

They do some high reductions like 40%-50% for 1-2 days, Free shipping for a week, etc then the remaninig stock goes back at lower reductions. I guess it just helps to push stock out.

I was dumb for not buying the Black tassel wholecut loafers for 280€ but now the Penny Loafers in black in F last are at around 336€. I am considering them.

By the way, I wore my P2 suede Theresianer shoes with Dainite soles today and they are very comfortable. I used Saphir Renovateur spray conditioner and the waterproof spray on them. They can be worn casually and to dress up too.

May I ask where you go to find out about shipping/sales codes? I never see them anywhere (FB, website...). Thank you.

On the bright side - I remembered in time to ask for metal toe taps for the last order.

On the less than bright side, for my previous pairs, - the cobbler I spoke to in Boston so far has told me he does not use metal, as people "have complained in the past", but rather plastic.

I evidently don't want plastic toe taps. The search will continue...

Find a different cobbler. The plastic ones are just glued then nailed on top of the sole.

The idea of toe taps is to avoid the wear of the sole from beneath or to serve as some kind of bumper for the front of the sole? I ask because my sole usually wear off at the ball of the foot and not on the tip of the sole

The purpose is to protect the front of the sole from premature wear. Many people push off from their toes when they walk, which will cause the front of the sole to wear before the rest of the sole. If you are wearing through the ball first you are unlikely to need to toe taps.
