Haha, a good friend of mine who I consider fancy mentioned she loved a man who used chocolate axe body spray/wash. There may be some correlation.....

Black tie fragrance - I nearly always wear (vintage) Domenico Caraceni 1913, which is one of the best men's rose scents ever made in my view.

Other occasional contenders for formal occasions (whether black tie or no) are Caron's 3eme Homme; YSL Rive Gauche PH; Guerlain Mitsouko (technically a women's scent, but heavily borrowed and always has been).

In the warmer months I tend to lay off the civet and opt for spiritueuse double vanille or songe d’un bois d’ete

Two days ago, my wife and me had our anniversary day, where we usually go out for dinner.
Unfortunately all restaurants are closed due to corona, so we had to do a dinner at home.
We decided to dress as if we would go out, and it was also a very nice evening.

Me too. Then when that is about to run out, I buy another bottle which may or may not be the same type. I have a smaller travel size one for trips.
