So bummed that I had to leave these. 1940's tweed suits. There were about 5-6 of them. All with extensive moth and critter damage.

This tiny label is throwing me off and I've seen stuff with fake Ittierre tags, so is this legit @SpooPoker?

There was a box of deadstock bathing suits for kids, in addition to some shoes and other clothes. Grabbed these for my kids:

Cool sneakers. Now when one of the moms compliments them and asks where I got them, I can smugly say "1972. Good luck finding another pair."

They had a few pairs of adult shoes, so I also grabbed these. Not sure, but the canvas shoes could be industrial/safety shoes. Sneakers are as soft as the day they were made.

I can't even recall the last time I found decent vintage at a thrift store. Anything "old" looking seems to get sent straight to the bins these days, and I'm just not cut out for that scene.

‘Sup thrift thread...

I’m going crazy here, stuck at home in self-quarantine with a heat index of 115 and a crazy, mask-less swarm just beyond the door.

I have no thrifts. But I have some e-thrifts — not worth zillions, but enough to make me happy.

I grabbed this one the second the alert hit my phone: the rare mint discman that works. My old one’s in storage, and there’s just something about it that’s comforting. This is a great early model. The thing’s a tank: metal body, metal parts, made in Japan. On the racks in December ‘87. It’s hard to believe if you’ve only listened to discmans past like 1990, but this has the best sound out of anything I’ve owned. I’ll never forget my friend’s face when he put on my headphones and listened to a CD (The Cure’s Disintegration) for the first time. Great stuff. E-thrift!

$15 for the 13 Reasons Why Walkman, suddenly in demand because of the show. Im going to use it to try and learn how to clean one up, maybe give it to a student who watches Netflix.
