Today i wore some new boxcalf shoes in the rain, the results were some wet elevated spots in the leather.
i thought I had applied enough wax polish on them but I guess not enough. I tried to take some pictures to show the extent of the spots. Should I just let the dry or should I take care of them another way? Thanks in advance!

Exact same thing happened to me last week and I posted about it a few pages back.

Is anyone going to the Trunk Show in Amsterdam this weekend? I'm going, but not sure if its worth buying a "VIP" ticket for 35 Euro, it does come with 30 euro's of Saphir product apparently.

It’s a real pleasure to invite you all to the first Amsterdam Super Trunk Show. A bunch of shoe brands from all over the world, partners and other interesting menswear exhibitors, plus the first Dutch Championships in Shoe Shining, all taking place at Cristofori Concert Hall of the Playing Circle, in the central parts of Amsterdam, on Saturday March 7. Here all info about the event.

Location: Cristofori Concert Hall of the Playing Circle, Prinsengracht 583-V, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Date: Saturday March 7 2020

If I lived in Amsterdam I would totally go there, but I don't, and I am not going to Europe just for shoes.............unless I was getting fitted for some bespokes.

Okay, I got a question about Shell Cordovan, specifically, those deer bone that are supposed to help with buffing and smoothing over the ripples.

Are those just regular ole deer bones you can get from a hunted deer? Or are they specially treated in some way to impregnate them with oils and what have you?

I've a friend in Canada who can get me all the deer bones I could ever ask for, but I don't know if they are specially made for cordovan purposes, or if it any forefoot bone from a deer would work.

In fact, I just suggest another round of cream polish. Don't do a dye - you don't need it for a little spot, and it's a major pain ********** to apply and you can screw things up.

Right now it looks 90% better, so one more round should do it.
I agree.. I think this is what I am going to do

Hey guys, I got a question for you:

What can I do to make sure the insides of my shoes stay in good condition?

Of course, all my shoes have cedar shoe trees, but I've also noticed that my Allen Edmond Jeffersons are developing a dark discolouration around the heel area of my foot, where presumably I've either rubbed off dye from my socks, or else the sweat is beginning to stand the sheepskin inners.

How do I keep the lining and insoles of the shoe from deteriorating over time?
