I'm really liking this jacket. I saw this jacket on the UK site but its not on the U.S. site or at my RRL store in Atlanta. has anybody seen this jacket at there store or is it a UK exclusive.

I think these are made in the USA too but i might be wrong. They felt heavier than 12oz when i held them in store. I want to pick up a pair of them (along with the embroidered slims)

tried on a great pair of pants last week but don't see it online. sort of like a painter's pant, pinstriped blue and white with a cool pocket placement. retail $290. i'll be looking for it again when the first sale hits.

Yeah, I really like the fabric on those but I'm actually the opposite of you in that I don't like the pocket on the side of the leg. Shame as other than that, they are close to what I was after. However, it wouldn't be the first time where I've seen something that I've initially hated and then as I see it more and more I've changed my mind and picked them up a few months later. I think EG are doing their fatigues in an indigo railroad stripe this season so I'm hoping they might fit the bill.

Just received the Clyde Trouser & the Hudson Cargo....The Clyde is spot on color/fit.. The Hudson must weight in at 2/3 lbs. lol which is why they have suspender buttons. On the "Fence" looking for wood to chop or some such thing....

The hudson is one of my favorite pickups. Wool armor for your legs. Now I dont have to layer up top as much when its freezing.

It seems like most of you have quite a bit of RRL clothing--especially pants. If such is true, then how do y'all break in most of your stuff? I find that I have quite a few things that don't get enough love, and it's really driving me towards becoming a minimalist. Anyone else have similar feelings?

I sometimes have that thought too. I will say that I enjoy variety and have a wardrobe fit for the workplace and another fit for recreation. I also recently lost weight and needed to get some new pants but yes, I think I did go overboard at the sales and online

A minimal wardrobe frees the mind. Come to think of it, a few years ago, I wore one pair of jeans for about three years with only a pair of dress slacks as a counter.

IMO it has more of a military look rather than a lumberjack look. I also like that it is tapered and not wide leg.

For me, that also goes for tops and outerwear. It seems to help to have clothes in such a way where you can see them so you can appreciate their subtle qualities. Also, I pair items up beforehand so its easier to appreciate them and wear them readily, rather than trying to figure out at the last minute what to wear. Then you can just grab what you've paired up, especially if in a rush, rather than wearing the same ol crap that one tends to wear all the time. A simple example would be to pair up a vest and shirt and hang them together.

I hear ya. Makes sense. My concern, though, is that I have a lot of stuff that's built to last and be worn that sits around. I find that I rotate the same 2-3 pants and same 5-6 shirts. I guess I need to start showing my other stuff some love. Or get rid of it.

Minimalist/wannabe minimalist here. I'm always trying to chip away at my wardrobe and only buy something new if it's an improvement that will replace something I already own. I still have a few items I can't get myself to part with even though they are hardly worn.

There is some good to having unworn clothes. They'll look nice and crisp the few times you break them out.
