its high time we gave @dieworkwear his own appreciation thread. There are so many times I read these articles (and twitter) and say that these things should be memorialized. Its going to take some time to go back in the archives and catalog other gems, but Ill start with yesterdays Ralph Lauren article :

https://putthison.com/can-ralph-lauren-bring-back-prep/

My favorites :

"The collection looks like it came straight out of a 2010 Tumblr obsessed with Gant and Rugby."

"....sending shares of the struggling brand into a tailspin (again, in historical time, Larsson’s tenure is measured as six Scaramuccis)"

A lot of chaps start a clothes-oriented blog and maybe produce a couple of dozen good articles. A few (very few) have enough interest, knowledge and versatility to turn out frequent articles over a long period of time and they become, deservedly, fixtures. I think that DWW is one of them. Best wishes for the future.

favourite bit of Dieworkwear is the constant negotiation between "isn't this clothes thing all a bit silly?" and "I am constantly thinking about clothing and I swear it's important"

Everyone here should thank Derek for gazing into that abyss for us.

I renewed an interest in menswear last year, after a twenty year hiatus. DWW's voice has been one of the six or eight most informative to me since, and that number includes Bruce Boyer (no pressure).

This guy is awful. It takes him upwards of fifteen minutes, at any hour of the day, to respond to every stupid question I ask about what I should be doing, buying, and wearing.

He’s cost me a lot of money over the past decade.
