Auction 8: An enamel dialed Atelier Wen watch!

Starts immediately, ends 5:00 p.m. PST, Wednesday, Dec 12, or 10 minutes after the latest bid, whichever comes later.

The name Atelier Wen the “culture workshop”, combines the French word for workshop (Atelier) and the Chinese word for culture (Wen 文). Atelier Wen was born from the collaboration of French and Chinese designers with the common vision of redefining modern Chinese chic watches.

@Fandegrue and his compatriots first creations tell a story of Chinese art and tradition through richly-decorated porcelain dials with a structure that drew inspiration from French watches of the 1950s, powered by a high quality Chinese movement from Dandong Factory (you can read about the movement in detail in their affiliate thread, below) and with a combination polished and brushed 39mm case that features a solid caseback with traditional Chinese Peacock imagery and a double domed sapphire crystal.

The resulting pieces are a daring blend of novelty and tried-and-tested elegance. Please visit their affiliate vendor thread to learn more about their project: https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...cal-watches-official-affiliate-thread.629263/

This auction is for the winner's choice of one of their first watches, the Atelier Wen Porcelain Odyssey, in production now, and for delivery in April:

As for all these auctions, 100% of the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Spokane (https://rmhcinlandnw.org/), an organization that helps house and feed the families of children who have to travel for medical care. It's an incredibly stressful and emotionally draining time for families, and financial issues associated with loss of time at work, only compound those stresses. The Ronald McDonald Houses do their best to alleviate that stress by providing food and shelter and a home away from home for these families. I know that during the holidays, there are many worthy charities to support, and we really appreciate your taking part in these charity auctions.

The retail price for a watch will be approximately $700 USD (Kickstarter price was ~$550) We will start the bidding 1/2 of the retail price, $350 (USD). Bidding will be by increments of $50 or higher.

Winners will contact Styleforum directly at [email protected], please.

Please bid generously to help the Ronald McDonald House.

Cheers,

Fok.

Not enamel but porcelain. Two very different things.

@Riva takes it with the lucky number $888. The only luckier number would be $88888888!

Please email me at [email protected].

Next auction up shortly. The robot is in the shop today, so it's all me. And a slow, nearly obsolete human, so please bear with me.

Cheers,

Fok.

Auction 9: A pair of Heinrich Dinkelacker Buda Full-Brogue FC boots, courtesy of Heinrich Dinkelacker.

Starts immediately, ends 5:00 p.m. PST, Thursday, Dec 14, or 10 minutes after the latest bid, whichever comes later.

Up for our 9th auction is a pair of shearling lined, completely hand crafted Budapster boots - boots that you deserve for your winter wardrobe courtesy of @Heinrich Dinkelacker

The shaft of this men’s double-stitched, lace-up boot is made from supple Swiss calf. This aniline-dyed calfskin boasts an elegant look, and is also extremely durable and water-resistant. The boot is lined with warming lambskin lining that will keep you feeling toasty, even in the coldest weather. Meanwhile, a fine leather midsole and attached rubber outsole keep you standing firm on slippery surfaces. All in all, this full-brogue boot is a stylish, functional choice for the fall and winter months.

Richly detailed perforation along the shaft of this luxurious men’s boot impressively attests to the high level of craftsmanship that goes into every Heinrich Dinkelacker leather shoe. It takes 300 meticulous work steps to make each of these masterful boots in Budapest — a true pinnacle of the art of cobbling.
