1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Don't worry they evened the playing field. You can't see it on desktop either.

So is there a way to make "all watched threads" (vs. "watched threads with new messages") as your default dashboard? It's kind of a PITA to have to hit the Watched Threads button constantly.

IMO the styleforum revamp really blows! It used to be very user friendly now it takes an hour to figure anything out. Still not able to post on the buying and selling. I am assuming there are a lot of "bugs to be worked out?" Meanwhile I'm taking a break, I spend too much time on the computer anyway.

Maybe it was a bug? Couldn't see it yesterday, but seems to be working now. Crisis averted!

Is it just me or are all the user uploaded/embedded pics broken links now?

Now that I've gone to the trouble of marking all of my previously viewed conversations as read and gone through all of the erroneously "unread" threads, things seem to be working more as expected. Still wish I could see more posts per page, though.

My thoughts so far too but the past couple of days were a good weaning for me. I'm guessing I'm going to keep it up for a few more days...

Here's hoping in a week or so it'll be back to some kind of "new" normal.

Just tried to mark as viewed all of the REVIEWS (BTW, WTF are REVIEWS? and why are there 21K of them unread?), and got this: Screen Shot 2017-04-22 at 11.25.23 AM.png

Why are all photos from previous forum version unlinked and unviewable.

Seems crazy not to restore photos for a site like this?

    Site is relativily slow.

The last of the tabs has just finished loading. (took about 2 minutes)

perhaps if members get to the "onsite legend" status equivalent, we could have a custom sub handle? underneath our name? guys who have been on here long enough to earn our place could look forward to it.

also please give us back the emojis. and the subscriptions in the toolbar.
why change the names of core functions?

I believe that already happens but not automatically - you'll see some members are "Dubiously Honored" (or were at least designated so in the previous forum version) and, my understanding, is that's something that is bestowed more or less yearly by the SF Gods at whim. Those that are designated have the option to customize their sub (like Spoo's "Internet Big Timer" last time I looked).

Again, that's my understanding via the grapevine on how it's happened over the years... I'm not in the official loop so could be wrong.

huh, i thought it was purchased. (dubiously honored)

but have seen some members with funny stuff under their names.
which is common on other forums.

would be great for members who contribute for a long time to have earned something.

Yep, I totally agree - I was just giving the back story (as I understand it) on how it's worked so far. I'd certainly like to add some snark below mine.
