The oils/waxes of whatever you're using certainly have seeped into the broguing area and lacing holes - what do you use?

They have only been worn twice. The holes were dark like that when I bought them at the factory. I think they were purposely burnished that way. I did use a bit of Renovateur before I wore them but it did not get near the lacing holes.
