Globetrotter, not that I am aware of, but I am not an expert. Frequently "disbanded" regiments have their colours and traditions carried on by another regiment, as the British and Commonwealth Armies tend to amalgamate, not disband. This means that a very similar tie may be currently in existence, and that this one could still be remembered by those who continue this tradition.
Interestingly I was in Clarke & Dawe in Belfast yesterday and noted that of their new tie selection many were of the regimental type, including some I think I recognise. I am glad this is a high end shop, with respectable clients, as the thought of some guttersnipe from Belfast swanning around in a Hussars tie is frightening me, and could create some social confusion.
