1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

My purchases from last week have begun to trickle in. Will post a picture either tomorrow or once the last couple of items come in. BUt the list it

    1. Obey pants from Need supply
    2. off white or grey generic surplus sneakers from need supply
    3. 3 pairs of socks from howard yount

Nothing sexy but I'll share the picture anyway. Hey, at least it wasn't my typical Jcrew and RL (though a wool skull cap is en route).

Just ordered one of each in 15 1/2. They only have a couple more left in stock if anyone wants them.

    Organic cotton too.

Hah well since you ask so nicely:
    1. I needed them resoled anyway
    2. Will get a pair of dressy derby-creepers for christmas
    3. The "dressy" fits that I have previously worn with side-zips will instead be worn with derbys, while all SW&D fits are worn with B&N hi-tops
    4. I don't think side-zips would really get much wear since they are something inbetween SW&D and "dressy" imo
    5. So I figured I'd just take them further into SW&D-territory, so I'll now have three distinctly different pairs of shoes instead of "two and a half"

Maybe seems like a lot of thinking for just a pair of boots, but I think that's just what happens when you have a really limited budget [IMG]

Yeah IMO what's making those boots weird is that the creeper sole doesn't extend out from underneath the shoe (if that makes sense)

If you look at most creepers you'll see the sole is much chunkier than the shoe itself, whereas here the creeper sole just continues the silhouette of the shoe

they did a bad job though - the sole is too small. you need a chunky 360 welt for wedge soles to look good.

yeah they don't look great but if they needed a resole anyway, whatever. they're like a $70 pair of boots, right? wear them to parties and shit.

I liked it before the detail shot, but this, exactly this. Have them redo it, it looks like they used a sole for 2-3 sizes smaller
